I was excited to get lasik surgery and I was advised to get a second consultation with Dr. Hura, and I am beyond thankful I did! Not only was the consultation very thorough they performed all the testing needed using their advance technology. Dr. Hura, and his excellent expertise, was able to catch a major issue that would affect my eyes is the future that would not make me a candidate for lasik however, I would be a candidate for PRK. I could not have hoped for a better outcome so far! If you need cataract surgery I recommend Dr. Shamie without any reservations whatsoever. Within an hour or so after the surgeries I could see perfectly without glasses!Â

The medical staff was very professional and nice and the procedure was quick painless and easy. However, the front desk staff could use a little work on hospitality. I understand they are busy, but they definitely could work on being a little more friendly keeping in mind people might be nervous while checking in for a medical procedure. A little kindness and compassion goes a long way..Â
The whole experience from the first office visit to the actual surgery was seamless. Dr Shamie is warm and professional and you feel like you are in the best hands. The office staff is also warm and welcoming and although the office can feel very busy at times I never had to wait that long to see the medical staff or the doctors. I would highly recommend Maloney-Shamie-Hura Vision Institutute to any of my friends (which I have!)Â
