This was my first visit to Dr. Copen who had been highly recommended as I needed a new primary Dr. I liked him immediately upon meeting. He had studied my chart and medications before entering the exam room and was very knowledgeable as to my concerns. I feel very confident in my care from this physician.
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Copan and the office staff. Wow! I can go on and on about Dr. Copan and his staff because they were definitely there in my time of need. Dr. Copan empathy, sympathy, and caring for me is remarkable. I became his patient in 2016 after having a near death experience and he stepped right in and made sure I knew how important it was for me to take care of myself mentally and physically. I will always trust his word. He is the true definition of a professional!
Dr. Copen is very professional. He listens to what I have say, and is always open to discussion on the issues I am dealing with.
Good doctor with a lot of experience
Everyone is very helpful and courteous, his nurse could use a bit of an attitude adjustment from time to time it seems.

My mother was a patient of Dr. Copen for over 5 years seeing him monthly for much of that time. As she became sicker, he was dismissive of the concerns brought by my father and when she went into the hospital there was no contact whatsoever regarding how she was doing or even what happened. Her other physician came to see her daily just to say hi and see how she was and how my father was doing. The lack of concern for a patient who saw him as frequently as she did was disappointing.
Because he didn't act when he saw problems in my recent blood work -- and I had to point it out to him - I switched to another doctor at Holy Cross. Immediately, Dr. Copen notified my pharmacy and cancelled all of the medications he had prescribed for me. I don't think this was very professional or ethical and now I am doubly glad that I switched doctors.
I made an appointment to see Dr. Copen for July 6, 2022 @ 10:00am. I called because I had not received a confirmation e-mail or call and they said that they had just moved offices and the technology wasn't working properly. They managed to "squeeze" me in and when I show up at 10 they said the appointment was for 2:15pm. They gave me paperwork to fill out and bring back at 2:15 and when I show up, they sent me home because I had rescheduled 2 times during the pandemic in 2021. I asked why didn't they tell me this at 10:00am ... read more
