Dr. Cohen is a very friendly and personable doctor. He took the time to listen to my concerns and questions first, which made me feel very comfortable and trust in his care. I was suffering with chronic headaches for 3 weeks straight when I was referred to him, but after treatment, I felt markedly better. I went to Dr. Marc Cohen office today because of back, knee, and ankle pain The staff was peasant and professional. Dr. Marc Cohen's temperament is caring, professional, and concerned. He examined me, asked questions,and set up additional appointments for me to see specialists, and for him to do a follow up with me, after giving me an injection in shoulder blade. Thank you very much for all of your help. I highly recommend you.
BIG mistake having my mother trust Dr. Marc Cohen for treatment. There is a reason why one surgical center AND a hospital refused to allow him to perform a procedure at their facilities. It became even clearer after a more professional and accredited doctor determined that no surgery was actually necessary!

When patients fail medications and procedures we always try to provide alternatives. Procedure I proposed, is very effective and I stand by my recommendations. I certainly encourage you to get second opinions! I am a board certified and fully credentialed pain doctor, my credentials have never been called into question by any institution. The issue with the procedure was that the institution no longer billed for it, hence why we now do it at another facility. Wishing your mom the best!
Has no clue or takes the time to know how damaged your body is. It’s always is this from an accident. All these doctors should have eforce do an audit.
From the first appointment things did not go well.
Went to this doctor with 3 herniated disk The medication he prescribed did nothing for me I called 3 times to let him know my pharmacy did not have what he prescribed in stock The pharmacy claimed that this was used for someone that had a opioid issues I have never abused medication in my life My insurance denied the procedure he wanted I called him 3 times to inform him it was denied He never called back My primary provider was upset the way he handled my situation Very unprofessional Had to find a new doctor Avoid at all c... read more

I am very sorry you are unhappy. I prefer to give patients this medication because it is safer than traditional medications. it was used for opioid abuse, but what your pharmacist doesnt know is that it is also used as a safer pain med. this was the reason it was given. Im sorry your pharmacist misinformed you however I lecture on this topic for the state of Florida if you would like more information. my mission is to avoid harmful meds -this may not be inline with patient expectations.
I wouldn't give him the time of day. Before EVER SEEING ME ONCE he told the nurse that when she made an appointment for me to let me know he would be taking me off my pain medicine. In other words..... he wants to doctor sight unseen. He sure won't ever see me!

I am sorry you feel this way. As a practice policy, we have instructed our staff to ask patients if they are taking opioids. Unless patients have cancer we almost never prescribe these drugs given the danger that they can present to our patients. Patient saftey is our first concern, and we do everything we can to treat our patients with an opioid free approach to minimize addiction. The reason we ask this upfront is so we don't provide false expectations on appointment day.
