This place is all about the money!! We rushed our dog to Maroochy animal hospital after he had been run over. We were there less than 20 minutes and in this time he was given a sedative needle to calm him and then the euthanasia needle as his injuries weren’t treatable. Prior to Christmas, we made an appointment for our dog as he was randomly yelping for no apparent reason. We were advised that our usual vet was unavailable. Despite the monitor she was looking at, the vet who assessed the animal seemingly knew nothing of his history. She could find nothing wrong and at the end of the appointment literally asked me if the dog had been on any medications in the past. If you seeking top-notch pet care allied to value for money, then this is a practice to steer clear of.
I use to take my aging dog to this lot. firstly they try to extract every last cent out of you and don't do a great job. then the staff were pleasant enough but this morning I tried to book my dog into be desexed to help with an enlarged prostrate. I spoke to Jessica. ŵhat a rude piece of work. when I had enough of her rudeness and ask to speak to some one else. then it hangs up. RecommendedI cannot love on these ladies enough! All staff I encountered were the most welcoming, kind people, Dr Barbara was so thorough, gentle and sweet to my unwell cat. He was able to be seen the same day I called which was fantastic. The treatment he received was fast and effective and within an hour he was noticeably feeling better. I found the fees surprisingly affordable, for a Sunday emergency appt I expected a high bill, yet found it to be less than a normal week day visit to his regular vet. AVOID This surgery is unable to correctly mix and calculate basic medication. After a consult they couldn’t even tell me what was wrong, but advised my pet required 5 days of medication twice daily. I paid for the medication and returned home. When I went to use it I discovered it hadn’t been mixed correctly and was just powder. I rung them and they told me to mix water with it even though it would alter the dosage. 2 days into the treatment I discovered they also hadn’t given me enough medication for the 5 days. When you came in for your consultation, the veterinarian examined all 4 guinea pigs including your sickest one.
