I can tell you that the place has really gone downhill. No AC on the 6th floor and repairs haven't even started. Been going on for awhile. Food service and quality has also gone way down hill. I am seriously considering moving my Dad

The A/C has been on a temp unit for 6 weeks . The maintace people have been there along as my mom has been there , there playing catch up . The laundry rooms machines do not work or work poorly due to lack of maintenance. I have seen a salad served that should of been thrown out. My mother's digestive track ,let's say she's been in the bathroom a bunch. We even brought her to the Doc for testing ,whating for the results.

The receptionist and staff are always friendly. They advertise that cable is included in the monthly rent, but it is not! The entire interior and furnishings need refreshing; rusted garbage cans, paint peeling, old carpet in hallways, etc The floors in my mother's room are very uneven which is a real tripping hazard There are always activities provided Several available services; hair dresser, massages sometimes, podiatrist, ride services, etc Need more staff at meal services Brochure advertises that meal service is restaura... read more

My father is happy there. I am slightly irritated with the place bc they don't clean well and the service elevator has been broken for over 6 months with no sign of repair efforts. My father cannot get his couch delivered as a result. In my opinion, that is poor management and being cheap despite the amount of money they charge my father

Our housekeeping staff has been working very hard to ensure that the community is at it's best. We recognize that the elevator having been down makes the situation difficult, and we can confirm that the repairs are complete and the last step is inspection from the city which is happening next week. We always appreciate hearing from loved ones.
This is only MY rating. I had some early problems that never got solved. It was Corporate problems. I was happy to leave, and wouldn't go back.

We appreciate feedback but we must agree to disagree with this review. Looking at the 182 reviews on A Place For Mom, this community has earned 8.9 out of 10 stars over the last two years. Across the board from Cleanliness to Care Services to Staff and Activities, we are proud of what our staff have achieved. Though having said this, we would appreciate it if you would contact the community so we can learn, grow, and do better.
Horrible Place. Elderly fraud report from past facility not caring for the residents that they have before contacted others.

We understand that there are times when people change their minds about where they would like to live, and we know that there are many options available in senior housing. However, once you sign an agreement and then change your mind, we do have to abide by the terms of the lease. It’s okay to disagree, but we do feel defaming our reputation is unfair and needs to be clarified.
I would not suggest putting a movie in to the Meridian at Westwood. The staff isn’t professional or very nice. They are very rude. I lived there a year at first it was OK for the past and then everything started going bad. They cannot keep help. The food is no good when we took a tour the things that we have asked before I moved in about certain things which was all a lie all they care about is, but is getting money. The place is not kept up. It has mold and mildew when I live there in the room and highways the roof leaks wh... read more

We consider this review as a snapshot in time as much has taken place since. Without taking our word for it, many happy residents (and their family members) tell us that the food is great, and our staff is worth complimenting. We have also taken steps to renovate the building and provide the necessary maintenance on aging structures.
We had great hope and desire for the Meridian to be the long term answer to our Dads Assisted Living Requirements. A set of requirements that had been documented and reviewed by the Meridian Director, Business Manager, Marketing Team, and the Nursing Director. We choose the Meridian after three different visits. However it became very clear within the first few weeks of our father moving into the facility that they had just recently undergone a major staffing turnover.
