Horrible Place. Elderly fraud report from past facility not caring for the residents that they have before contacted others.

We understand that there are times when people change their minds about where they would like to live, and we know that there are many options available in senior housing. However, once you sign an agreement and then change your mind, we do have to abide by the terms of the lease. It’s okay to disagree, but we do feel defaming our reputation is unfair and needs to be clarified.
I would not suggest putting a movie in to the Meridian at Westwood. The staff isn’t professional or very nice. They are very rude. I lived there a year at first it was OK for the past and then everything started going bad. They cannot keep help. The food is no good when we took a tour the things that we have asked before I moved in about certain things which was all a lie all they care about is, but is getting money. We consider this review as a snapshot in time as much has taken place since. Without taking our word for it, many happy residents (and their family members) tell us that the food is great, and our staff is worth complimenting. We have also taken steps to renovate the building and provide the necessary maintenance on aging structures.
We had great hope and desire for the Meridian to be the long term answer to our Dads Assisted Living Requirements. A set of requirements that had been documented and reviewed by the Meridian Director, Business Manager, Marketing Team, and the Nursing Director. We choose the Meridian after three different visits. However it became very clear within the first few weeks of our father moving into the facility that they had just recently undergone a major staffing turnover. My mom was previously a resident at Meridian at Westwood and it was a good experience. Mom was well kept and tended to. One thing that I liked was the convenience to the hospital and WWMC. I would recommend the facility, although you do have to get out your wallet.

Beautiful place online. $$ Maker off of resident's who are afraid to speak up for their rights. Most definitely a nursing home, not Independent Living as advertised. Shortage of "Incentives and amenities for Staff to stay". Food is a huge deal when you can get it. Dirty, unhealthy, and no heat room were ready for my move. To get worse construction going on hours and hours.
It's an absolute hell hole! They stole 5 months of our lives. We were told falsehoods and mislead about the upkeep, bugs and the food. The place is crawling with bugs, it's dirty and the meals served resembles food for Third World countries.
Meridian at Westwood was so depressing. The facility was very outdated in its décor and amenities. The dining experience very open, but it wasn't decorated and inviting, just empty. Cleanliness was almost non-existent. The room that they showed us was a room that never got touched. It was damaged and there were holes in the wall. And they showed it to us as if they were not concerned at all about its condition.

I was not impressed at all with this community. I had an appointment and when we arrived they were not there. the LPN came in and she did not know anything about the community. I just did not like the lack of professionalism at all. They also said that they had a garden and when I went to go look it was just a bunch of weeds.
