If it is next door to you, go for it. As for me, I left Metro Credit Union. Not enough local branches near me so it was a huge drive just to make a simple deposit or any live transaction. I joined MCU because I wanted to use a local credit union over a bank but the tellers and staff weren't super polite and their rates seem to be about the same as the banks.
