Great Printer! Horrible Scanner The printing quality is really good, but if you are planning to scan old photos forget it. Even at 600DPI the scans come granular and much darker than the originals. My old scanner was 11 years old (Cannon MX860) and at the same resolution did a way way better job. Also if there is too much white in your pictures this scanner will cur that off making your picture smaller.

Perfect for our needs Love it. We just needed a printer for occasional mailing labels, word documents, forms etc. This suits our needs perfectly. We can send documents to be printed from anywhere in the house. So easy and efficient!
affordable color printer This is my first Brother inkjet after a lifetime of only buying Canon inkjets. So far I've been very satisfied with the printer. I had the whole printer set up and printing in under 15 minutes. The installation process on my Mac was pretty easy, although I had to download an update first and download the iPrint app from the App Store. Easy to setup WiFi and AirPrint I found myself in the market for a new printer after my Epson WF-3640 color printer that died on me. This little Brother printer is a breeze to use! I wanted a printer that was under $150 could handle two-sided duplex-printing, black-and-white AND color print jobs, had a scanner and was NOT an Epson. This Brother fit the bill. excellent Brother product I have found Brother printers to be pretty much bullet proof. I like that there are separate ink cartridges, so when one color runs out you don't have to replace all. Easy wifi set-up, as the touch screen leads you through the whole process. I don't know why there have been comments in the reviews here about it being difficult to set up. Love the double sided printing function.
Set up quick and easy as a charm! After 5 years of use my previous HP quit. I bought another HP but after battling for hours the set up never worked, and neither did the printing.
