Suite was clean and warm. Great break from the cold and noise. But Shawn made it 5 stars with his hospitality. They are lucky to have him. I wasn't going to do it, but he was so great I spent an hour inside. Well worth it.
I visited the Minute Suites in Detroit Airport and was overcharged for a shower. The official Priority Pass listing clearly states showers are $20 for 30 minutes, but I was charged $40, and even with a military discount I still paid $31. I asked upfront about Priority Pass perks and pricing, and the associate gave me incorrect information. The posted price and what I was charged did not match at all. Very disappointing and misleading experience.
I didn't experience any service issues like others. The rooms are nothing to write home about. You do pay a premium price, but I consider that fair for the convenience trade off on a long layover. You can hear the tram slightly, but it didn't bother me, you can adjust the white noise in the room.
If you need to rest or take a nap, this is not the place to do it. It’s located directly below the tram line so you hear the tram running every 4 minutes. Okay for watching TV or working but probably not great for calls because of the noise.
I do not like sharing reviews but my experience was so bad that I have to share this time. The customer service from both women was horrendous. They treated my wife and I like a nuisance instead of like paying customers. We paid 4 star hotel prices for a 1 star experience. In the morning they made me use the airport bathroom instead of their own because “our time is up”. We had already paid separately for the bathroom and now we can’t even use it.
