Very enjoyable evening spent with wife/teen-age son at this terrific spot in Stony Brook. High energy helped along by generous drink sizes and a truly great menu and execution. Noise level is high - this is not a place to whisper sweet nothings but a vibrant pub rocking on all cylinders. Will absolutely be back.
Wide choice offering at fair price. Liked the prize fix option. Good food. Will return.
We went on a Friday evening and the noise level was so loud we could only carry on a conversation by yelling at our table
Went to Mirabelle Tavern to celebrate our son's birthday. Excellent meal and service. Both my wife and I had the tuna carpaccio and the Kobe sliders. Both were wonderful and reasonable priced. An looking forward to our next visit.
It was a lovely brunch with lots of different choices. It just got very crowded and the wait staff appeared overwhelmed. We found we had to chase them down to refill our champagne & mimosa's. So many amazing options it took a while to choose. Ended up ordering a few appetizers for the table of 7 to taste. The mixed green salad with the goat cheese crouton is super generous for a starter course. The blackened swordfish was unique--a blackened spice marinade instead of the traditional dry spice pan seared, so it was more elegant and lighter (and l... read more
We went for an early dinner (5:45) with a two-year old and 8 month old twins. The staff was more than accommodating for our large family. They have a good kids menu - the fruit plate is fresh and plentiful. The food for adults is always good.
Fifty years ago this charming restaurant/inn overlooking the waterfront was my favorite dining destination, and today, it's as lovely as ever. The lively Sunday brunch in the large tavern area was a departure from the quiet atmosphere I remembered, but the ambiance, with all the romantic nooks and fireplaces, is just as warm and evocative. Service was cheerful and prompt, and the dishes of the reasonably-priced buffet brunch were varied, tasty, and well-prepared, and were accompanied by unlimited champagne or mimosas. I lear... read more
