The management got it right when they decided to offer a more casual dining experience along with the more formal Mirabelle. The food is very good with many local ingredients used. The bar has a unique offering of cocktails along with a nice selection of wines in every price range. The waitstaff is very attentive and will make good recommendations if you ask their opinions. The special menu is well priced and there are many small plates to try. The warm sourdough is wonderful that they serve in the begining it is hard not to... read more
What a fantastic and fabulous lunch! My girlfriend and I decided to come here after a half day fishing trip out of port Jefferson and it was an earth moving experience, both due to the earthquake but also the food. This was my second trip to this establishment, the last to the restaurant and this time the tavern. We both decided to go with the $27 prefix and it was perfect! It was overall a very memorable experience and I urge anyone in the area to stop by and enjoy the delicious food that this restaurant provides.
great as usual,,,despite the fact that a large wedding was going on in other parts of the restaurant,,,service and food was not disturbed at all,,,all well prepared,,and yummy,,,service just perfect,,,nice wine selections,
well prepared bistro/pubfare,,,freshest ingredients,,and even on an off week day night,,excellent value,,,lucky to have such a great place nearby/
Brunch was very good, not a wide variety, service at the table was ok...seemed as if the waitress and man serving the water really did not want to be bothered, had to ask for water and can we get a drink while eatting our food (never came by!), and the overall brunch was very expensive for what it was. I would never go back. Went back again with a gift certificate for brunch after having a horrible experience for dinner for my bday.
We had a great meal at Mirabelle Tavern. We ordered the foie gras and mussels with frites. Excellent. The service at the outset was not as fast as might be expected but several parties had arrived at the same time so that was understandable. Staff was still very attentive and it was nice not to feel rushed. We look forward to returning.
Great people, food was unique and very good, dress for air-conditioning breeze it hits you and depending on your taste it can be quite cool at times. otherwise a good place to visit
So glad we decided to try this restaurant. Food was amazing. Worth the trip!
