Get directionsit wasn't the place for me . however all staff were very nice. I think they were in transition when I was there. It made it really uncomfortable for me.

"I came to Montrose Behavior Center carrying the weight of unresolved grief, and honestly, I was very close-minded at first. But walking out of this place, I can say I've never felt better in my entire life. A huge shout-out to Ken--he is an incredible man who truly changed my perspective. He introduced me to meditation, and it has become such a powerful tool in my healing journey. The entire team at Montrose was compassionate, patient, and genuinely dedicated to helping me through one of the hardest times in my life. They ... read more
My daughter is 9yo. While I wanted our experience to be great, there were some non negotiables that really upset me. Communication - this needs to be addressed and better. While checking in they told my daughter to change into their gown for 24 hours - she did. But after I left, they did a strip search on her without telling me nor her about this during the intake - to me, this is wrong. They also forgot to mention the 'beacon' that they put around her leg to track her on the floor. She is 9yo, she needed more explanation f... read more
No communication, telling my son miss information. When he was there for crashing out, substance abuse and harm towards himself and others. Doctor's and therapist don't work together nore agree. My son was the from December to January. Lied on his discharge paperwork Didn't secure his next placement. Left me to find another treatment facility
I was a patient here and the staff are super unprofessional and rude most of the time especially night shift people they would put their chairs in front of other patients room and talk obnoxiously loud and answer to phone calls while being in the room with patients. Staff would always be on their phones not even paying attention and will get overly aggressive when someone would accidentally break a rule. I understand they have to take protocol seriously but screaming at a kid for something they didn't know isn't professional... read more
This place is shit don't send your kids here!! I lied on the survey saying I'd recommend it but NOPE no activities pure boredom, everyone seems unqualified and it helps zilch. Don't let the pictures fool you either
I was mentally physically and sexually abused at this facility several years ago. The precipitating event that landed me here was one of the most dramatic of my life with the stay itself further traumatizing me. I was sitting here just because I was trans because the hospital which was called Lakeshore at the time had advertised a program called Vallejo which specialized in treating LGBT people but that program simply didn't exist when I got there. The hospital was run like an annex for Cook county jail and the patients were... read more
