"I came to Montrose Behavior Center carrying the weight of unresolved grief, and honestly, I was very close-minded at first. But walking out of this place, I can say I've never felt better in my entire life. A huge shout-out to Ken--he is an incredible man who truly changed my perspective. He introduced me to meditation, and it has become such a powerful tool in my healing journey. The entire team at Montrose was compassionate, patient, and genuinely dedicated to helping me through one of the hardest times in my life. They ... read more
Not a good place for kids. Ive been in there and it was not safe at all. A little girl was saying she doesn't feel good and that she needs to go to the hospital. She said this while crying on the floor and no staff cared about her. She was ignored and even the kids were telling staff to check on her. She then had a seizure and that's when nurses came and took her to the hospital. The next day she returned. There's also multiple fights happening every day. On all floors. Kids, boys, and girls. Staff also doesn't care about th... read more
My daughter is 9yo. While I wanted our experience to be great, there were some non negotiables that really upset me. Communication - this needs to be addressed and better. While checking in they told my daughter to change into their gown for 24 hours - she did. But after I left, they did a strip search on her without telling me nor her about this during the intake - to me, this is wrong. They also forgot to mention the 'beacon' that they put around her leg to track her on the floor. She is 9yo, she needed more explanation f... read more
No communication, telling my son miss information. When he was there for crashing out, substance abuse and harm towards himself and others. Doctor's and therapist don't work together nore agree. My son was the from December to January. Lied on his discharge paperwork Didn't secure his next placement. Left me to find another treatment facility
I was a patient here and the staff are super unprofessional and rude most of the time especially night shift people they would put their chairs in front of other patients room and talk obnoxiously loud and answer to phone calls while being in the room with patients. Staff would always be on their phones not even paying attention and will get overly aggressive when someone would accidentally break a rule. I understand they have to take protocol seriously but screaming at a kid for something they didn't know isn't professional... read more
