I was mentally physically and sexually abused at this facility several years ago. The precipitating event that landed me here was one of the most dramatic of my life with the stay itself further traumatizing me. I was sitting here just because I was trans because the hospital which was called Lakeshore at the time had advertised a program called Vallejo which specialized in treating LGBT people but that program simply didn't exist when I got there. I went to Montrose in 2023, it was the worst experience ever. Before I got there I was in an Emergency room receiving a mental health evaluation. The mental health evaluation was completed and they sent me to Montrose while on a very high dose of lorazepam and was not working. I eventually came down and I was telling the staff this was all a mistake and that this all could have been avoided if I didn't take the lorazepam, from somebodies point of view who SHOULDNT of been there, the staff was insanely cruel...
