First off, congrats to chef funke for opening up a location in Miami! i watched your netflix episode on Chef's table, and your story is incredible! I love how passionate you are about pasta making! This restaurant is stunning! it gives off Carbone-vibes, old-school, mobster, chic, with a great playlist. Our hostess got us seated promptly. The hightop tables are super comfy and good for people watching at the bar. We started with a cocktail: the santa maria was outstanding with marscapone infused grey goose, espresso, and ... read more
Loud, Irish pub background music, anxious service, dress code inexistent, it's definitely an above average plate of pasta; which I will order for take out (if there is) a next time. That little kitchen show of the cooks screaming is good for Vegas, and also for the peasants that show up for dinner on Friday night, wearing shorts and t-shirt.
Fantastic service, food, beverages, wine list, ambiance, cleanliness. The most exquisite pasta dishes. Looking forward to another great dining experience.
Beautiful restaurant in the design district with an intimate beautiful ambiance, and varied menu. Loved the name! It felt like tucking into a cozy bed, which is generally where I do my best eating. While service was plentiful it could be a tiny bit better I waited a bit to get my wine and the timing of the plates could have been a little better but overall it was a nice experience. The octopus salad was good and the cucumbers were a nice touch. I wasn't in love with the meatballs but it was a unique version with short rib. T... read more
Pros: 1. Service was very good. Waiter, staff and host were super accommodating. Waiter was patient with our initial indecision. Staff was fast to clean. Host was more than accommodating. 2. Food was very good. One of the salads and cacio pepe pasta was amazing. 3. Michelin starred (and they were re-starred that same night apparently). Cons. 1. Expensive main courses. Pasta, salads and drinks medium pricing for Miami. Entrees were up there a bit more.
Really good food and service. Got the linguine dish and loved it. My wife and daughter loved theirs as well.
The restaurant is beautiful and elegant. We started off with some drinks, I had their Mama Rhea which is essentially their version of an Appletini which was fresh and not too sweet For starters a must order is their house made focaccia and the filet Mignon tartare. The focaccia is made in their brick oven topped with rosemary and their filet Mignon tartare comes served with crispy onion flakes that add a nice crunch We also tried their suppli Al teléfono, which are basically arancini croquettes that were cheesy and delici... read more
Good food, attentive service, nice ambiance with a pretty venue. All dishes we ordered were tasty - octopus salad (8/10), garlic prawns (8/10), fungi pizza (8.5/10), wild boar bolognese (8.8/10) and the gnocchi (7.5/10). (Only complaint, needs to bring back egg based carbonara as this was one of the biggest reason for visiting here.) Will be back when eggs are back! Overall worth a try, especially the hand made pastas.
I enjoyed this restaurant, but the service was fairly subpar for the price point. We waited a long time for our order to be taken and the food to come out. The food was ultimately just slightly above average in my opinion when it comes to other Italian restaurants that I have been to in the area. I will say that the bar is very nice and the inside of the restaurant is visually appealing so it gives a nice vibe/ambiance.
