After paying over $3,000 with first month rent and deposit I arrived at the rental house to move in only to find that the water system was not being maintained so all the water in the house was brown, smelly, and had a texture to it. Took them over 7 days to fix the problem. Obvious no one took care of the house between renters or checked it before we moved in. The worst experience i have ever lived through and I’m still here. Wishing I could get out of this lease. There have been issues since day one of moving in....first they apartment was not cleaned like we agreed upon. Instead of moving in Aug 1st, I was told I had to push it back to Aug 10th so a cleaning crew could be hired. Moved in and nothing was done. I have been charged twice for garbage cans, " garbage cans what" I travel for business and could not recall if my cans were brought back from the curb. Since the COVID 19, ive been at home and make sure my cans are brought up before the end of Thursday. I was charged another garbage can fee. This has been horrible under them and no one can seem to stop it. The house is a piece of trash..they make it look great then charge you for all the problems that were wrong with it prior to you moving on. I went a month with flooding and then they charged me for the flooding issue which the contractor told them was an issue before I arrived. They are a fraud the doctor documents forge your name and beat you out of money. When you present the he proper documentation they shut you down by making up some story to make them appeal to be right. They are good at trying to insult your intelligence. I signed a document their property manager sent to me and emailed it back to extend my stay. They emailed me talking about I have to be out in eight days after I spoke with them on the 14 of Oct. Maintenance is the biggest issue, my plumbing is leaking and they decided not to fix it. On top of many other things. This is the worst company to rent through by far. American homes for rent is the best option believe me.
