don't withhold people's medication they rely on and make them wait 5 days and only after you tell them you are requesting to be referred elsewhere and you are going to be getting your medication off of your PCP instead in the meantime, then they finally send the prescription over, only to have to be picked up the following day then, making it 6 days without medication when people are trying to put their lives together and take care of their family.

This practice fraudulently charges people and does not return calls or emails when contacted about it. Many people, like me, have been billed for "no shows" and "being late" when neither have occurred. I have been fighting them for 2 years (while they continue to add "late fees"). I would not recommend this office to anyone.

I had been a loyal patient at this psychiatric office since 2017. For years, they were accommodating and reliable, especially with scheduling. However, in February 2025, I received an unexpected phone call informing me that I could no longer be seen--without any clear explanation. I spent several days trying to get answers, but no one would give me a straightforward reason. I asked if I could be seen via telehealth--no. I asked if I could come in person--still no. After nearly eight years as a consistent, compliant patient,... read more

When I first started here, it was great. I felt like I finally found a therapist in the first time in 25 years I could relate to and I started doing alot of heavy work on myself. I was seeing one provider and because she kept adding medications every single visit that I knew I didnt need and didnt want, I asked to see another provider. She was fully booked so I got the wonderful Lori Schultz. She came from the Allegheny County Jail and thinks she knows everything. My first visit with her, she told me that I'm traumatizing my... read more

My son had an intake at New Directions because they claimed they accepted Medicaid. Not only was Lauren, the intake counselor completely incompetent (she shamed my son during the intake interview) but New Directions also billed my unemployed son beyond what Medicaid covered. I mean, do they not understand that poor people are on Medicaid because they are poor?!!!! Wouldn’t send a cat I hated to this practice!

My son goes there. His father and i are separated. My son has adhd and suffers from conditions the therapist told his it was ok to take him the meds. He barely graduated because of this. He then told my son i was making up stories to medicate him. He was diagnosed by a physiatrist not me. My beat on me and smokes pot now. The therapist said it was all made up by me. I recommend nobody takes their child there they will alienate your child. I looked into the therapists record snd found multiple infractions why he works there... read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Wanna get your mental health absolutely fucked? No? Then don't go. They never follow up if you miss appointments, they don't give a fuck if you are going through trauma or have a work conflict. The doctors there will push you to give them control over your mental health meds and then as soon as they do they drop you as a patient so you're screwed. The front desk people are assholes and have no sense of empathy what so ever, they therapists are undereducated and expect you to come in and solve your own trau... read more

Not a good place to work at. They withheld $700 of my paycheck for more than a week. The one supervisor is extremely rude and unwelcoming. Overall vibe is they don’t care for their employees. Do not recommend to anyone to work here or go here for therapy.

Business response:

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We want to clarify that ensuring timely and correct payment to our employees is a top priority, and any delay in payment is not reflective of our standard practices. Edit: please know this is personal experience from when i went there, back around 2005, i heard it has changed since then, but i still might keep this review up due to the place pretty much scarring me to the point i still have nightmares about the place. horrible place, do not recommend, when I was a client there, I had the most miserable time of my life, rules are overly strict, staff was horrible, granted it was years ago, and maybe things have changed, but after the trauma I suffered from them, the PTSD I got because of ... read more
