RecommendedI've been thinking of stay at Oak Bay Beach Hotel for years and I'm so glad I finally did. Blown away by the property, decor, rooms, and staff. Here for business but will definitely be back with family. I don't want to leave!
The new adults-only policy. I’ve spent many wonderful stay-cations here with my children and the only misbehaving I’ve ever seen in the pool are the drunk adults. So disappointing.

Recently changed their policy to not allow children in their pool AT ALL. If you’re going to exclude an entire demographic, maybe consider kids before/after a specific hour, or build a second pool. Way to peg yourself as elitist pricks.

Had a wonderful lunch while looking over the water and Mt Baker in the distance. Our lunch consisted of black bean chilli and fish and chips. Great service and will be back.
Unfortunately, last Saturday my friend an I went into the Oak Bay Beach Hotel Spa and had a very miserable experience. We were both very excited for the special treat, as we all know a visit to the spa is usually a pricey one. We both signed up for Sports massages and arrived at the spa 3 hours early to enjoy all the amenities that come along with our treatment. I just checked out yesterday morning and have been in contact with the concierge about leaving something in the room. There were other red flags during my stay but I ignored them. We stayed 2 nights, and I booked 3 roomsm. Today I called the hotel right away, less than 24 hours after check out because I left my $250 straightener in the room but I called twice until someone got back to me. Below is an email I sent directly to the spa on July 31 after my visit on the 30th. I received no reply. That has only added to my disappointment in my experience... I wanted provide a bit of feedback regarding my first visit to the spa. All of my comments are 'little things' that aren't a huge issue but together lessened my spa experience and for a '5 star spa' and the cost were disappointing. - upon arrival I was given a locker key and told it would contain my robe and a towel.
