I’ve been a patient with OFMC since they were in their little building & only a couple doctors. I love my Doc & his nurse. However, I do agree with most posts, the front desk girls are very rude, on their good days. Many times I’ve been there & overheard their personal conversations as well as not so personal, issues with Pt. accounts, etc. In the back, the rooms lack verbal privacy, I can hear the other patients conversations, I can also hear the conversations of the employees... I usually don’t write a review or give a bad review. I like to give people a chance but I don’t recommend this place. The Receptionist are very rude. And I left 4 messages in 2 days to my nurse practitioner about getting a referral for a sonagram from my mammogram to a different imaging place accepts my insurance than the one they sent me to and never heard back from them.
The young lady sitting to the far right at the reception desk. I do believe is the most disrespectful, rude, oblivious, healthcare worker I've ever encountered. Your encounter begins with her bellowing your name then she proceeds to speak at the same volume level when you are at the desk so everyone in the waiting area can hear the protected health information she wishes to discuss. They need to restaff their receptionists. They can be rude and they should not be able to shoot the breeze and have a good time doing nothing while listening to and screening calls. Pick the phone up and do your job trying to figure out how to help someone. When a fax comes in get on it or if one needs to go out get on that too. For the work I see that they do there , if they have 5 receptionists there they have 3 too many. As much as I love the one stop shop that this facility provides you with, they cannot seem to bill your insurance correctly..EVER. Everytime I have been seen, I have to call back in and have them fix whatever coding they sent in originally because it's a part of my routine wellness and there shouldn't be a bil...OR!! They bill the wrong insurance company all together (even though they have your correct insurance information) and then you receive a collections bill for $5.50 for a service that you already paid for, had them c... read more
Slowest medical practice I have EVER been to. Over an hour wait even after scheduling an appointment months in advance. Happens EVERY time.
I normally do not like to badmouth anybody, but I must spread the word so others do not get hurt as well. Dr. Cruz from Ocala Family Medical Center was awful to my husband. My husband is the most likable guy on the face of the planet. Everyone that knows him likes him. He is quiet, mild, and very easy-going. He went to Dr. Cruz for knee pain and both Dr. Cruz and the staff strung him along with no help whatsoever. If you don't value your time, this is the place for you, because they don't value your time either. Went to this place for years, and not once ever was I called in to see the doctor at my scheduled time. Seems they overbook constantly.
