Cute little place with adorable chocolates. And the taste ain't bad either. They have tons of shapes and sizes including dental, drs, nurses, suns, animals, flowers, sports, law, and of course horses. They also have a myriad of specialty chocolates like bourbon everything and chocolate covered fresh fruit. Faves: The choc covered grapes were delicious! The ladies here are really sweet as well. Yummilicious Factor = A-

My mom sent me these for my birthday... They arrived at my office in a cooler with ice that had just started to cool. They REALLY made me want to break my diet protocol, especially since I let a friend try one and the look of delicious heaven on his face killed me (given I'd only had dry toast and an apple so far all day). I was looking for something that my daughters birthdayand that she might not find in MA and that was a little sweet. I came upon this web site and thought I would give them a try. The order was placed on Saturday. I received my confirmations, etc., but, when today came around and they had not arrived I became concerned and called. They could not have been nicer. Customer service very poor,more concerned with building a display. Signage displayed buy one get one free. Saleswoman claimed that they were sold out ,but could buy at full price.

Be sure to try out the chocolates before you buy them unless it's something simple like chocolate covered pretzels when you already know what they taste like. I bought some dark chocolate covered coconut bonbons and I would've been much better off going to the grocery and buying some mounds bars. There was very little coconut inside, instead, it was mostly very sweet nougat. Believe me, mounds bars taste much better and much cheaper!!! All excited to take my 4yr old nanny charge on the Old KY Chocolates tour. Had to schedule last Tues, they were booked til today. So, I gave my name, number and whatever else she needed to reserve a spot. We arrive 5-10 min early, paid the fee, and walked around while we waited for it to start. At 10:20a they decide the "other large groups" weren't coming and those of us who showed on time could start. Yay! Their chocolate is very waxy and leaves a film in your mouth that's not pleasing. The service I received st every store is beyond embarrassing for the store. I have gone into the store before and the people followed me around like I was going to steal which I wasn't and I just picked up an item and a lady came up to me and told me I had to purchase that because I touched it even though it was in a sealed bag and I was just trying to read the label. I used to love this place. I went in today to order some items for my daughters wedding and found that the ladies were just not that into customer service. I was one of two customers in the store, so I can't chalk it up to the stress of being busy. I was going to place an order to take to Charleston , SC for the wedding so that the guests could experience the delight of Ol Kentucky Chocolates. Sadly, not now. I'm writing this review as I experience a sugar high. The chocolates we were given from this business were soooooo good. They were addicting to say the least.
