They will make you wait hours, charge your absurd amounts, and do nothing to help !!! Wasted three hours here when I could have been somewhere else that can actually help. If you love your pets, go somewhere else!!!!

RecommendedFriendly and caring staff - great for routine care but BEWARE. Be sure you you know what services their facility can provide upfront. Ask questions. An exam, x-rays and outside consultation cost $750 only to be referred to another “emergency” facility out of town. There are other friendly and caring “full-service” facilities in Florence that can perform more involved procedures (if needed) at a much more reasonable price.

Where do I start? My chihuahua dachshund mix got mauled by an aggressive pit bull. The pit attacked him caused a lesion on his side. We took him to the Palmetto Animal Hospital in hopes we could make sure he was okay, because he was NOT himself. He was delirious & unresponsive. I walked in, telling the front desk I needed and exam and X-ray done considering he was so small, there was not telling what internal problems were ahead. My parents cat died a little over a week ago. When they tried to contact someone for advice no one called. I get it that they do not have emergency care but to not at least return a call. My mom left 2 messages in desperation . It has been a week and they have yet to receive a call. If you value your pet, find a new vet.
Personal service no longer exists there.
A few years ago, I left a 5-star glowing review for this practice. I deleted it this morning. I have been bringing my pets here for years. My family has used this practice since Jim Harris first opened it. Recently the management of this establishment made the decision to no longer offer after-hours care to established clients. UPDATE!! 10/6/19 I was contacted since my review and they seemed truly concerned about the service I received. Although nothing can erase it, I really respect that they are concerned and want to prevent it from happening to another family. So for that reason alone, I would give them another try if I should need vet services again. Original I don't think there is enough space to post what I didn't like about this place.
