Paradise valley manor was a wonderful experience for my dad. After heart surgery he convalescenced there for 10 weeks. The nurses were very caring throughout the stay. He experienced all three floors and most of the staff. During these COVID-19 days we were able to visit by phone, video chat and window visits. The admin staff was very helpful.

In early February, my 93 year old Mama became very ill and had to be taken, via ambulance, to the hospital where she was diagnosed with Influenza A and Sepsis. She stayed in an acute care hospital for one week and was transferred to Paradise Valley Manor and Health Care Center in National City, CA, to get her strength back before she was able to go home and be independent once again. I have had to come here twice from the hospital because I needed iv antibiotics I couldn't do from home. My first stay was a long one 3 weeks and then the second was only 5 days. I the rooms I shared with one other patient and it was not so bad. Had a bed a bathroom and my own closet and drawers for my clothes. The nursing staff and cnas are all very friendly and I got my meds on time and didn't worry about anything. Everyday they have some kind of arts and crafts or game night. My aunt and uncle were just discharged from the PVM Skilled Nursing Rehab. The care was wonderful. Every time I visited, they were clean and in new clothes, well fed and either off to PT or activities. I felt the staff went the extra effort. The Social Services department headed by Bri was absolutely spectacular. I could not have made it through the process without them. They clearly take their jobs seriously and earnestly. I would recommend this facility to my friends and family. All staff is really caring and professional. I have worked here 9 years and when we had to make the decision to admit my grandmother to a skilled nursing facility I had no doubt that this was the best place her.

I'm a national city native and I have passed this place many times since I used to live literally a few minutes away. Anyway, this place has been good to my mom. They are very attentive and compassionate with the care of my mom. Nursing Staff here is caring, kind and attentive to patients needs. The rehab department is fully equipped with therapeutic equipment which is great because it allows the Physical, Occupational & Speech therapist to help their patients reach their goals, increase their strength so they are able to discharge home with family stronger and healthier. Been working here for 5 years now and this is the best place to work! I've been to a lot of different facilities before and this is the only place I've worked where I feel like I belong to one big happy family! The administrator (Aaron) is very approachable and knows the name of all staff and each resident! You know this place is good as soon as you stepped in the front doors - smells wonderful (not like other places where it either smells like urine or bleach).
