I have been meaning to review Parkway since last October when one of my cats got very sick with pancreatitis. But really, it goes back before that to 5 years ago when my first cat had a terrible tumor and we had to put him down. Back then Dr. Tanner was our doctor. She was lovely, warm and caring. The staff was amazing. All of the vets here are top notch. The one that stands out for me now, and the one I will always take my pets to is Dr. Wraith. When my cat had pancreatitis last year, Dr. Wraith was like the best t... read more
I'll be going to Parkway Veterinary for my 2 pups. When living in Dublin, we needed to find a new veterinarian for my 2-year-old shepherd and 5-month-old FMD. Both were rescues and the puppy was/is very scared of people. Dr. Bloomberg was very patient, kind, and knowledgeable with both of our dogs, but I was extremely impressed with the way she handled our shy dog. He eventually opened up to her and let her do her exam. She even brought him to the back to meet new people and slowly get accustomed to strangers. Even... read more
Very happy to have found Parkway and Dr. Wraith. Our dog was seen at Parkway a few years ago for a food allergy, and we had a positive experience. When our dog suddenly seemed to be in significant digestive distress one day and our regular vet could not see her that day, I was relieved that Parkway was able to get her an appointment right away. Dr. Wraith remembered our dog and the details of her last digestive episode, gave her a very detailed exam, and most importantly, explained to us at every step what was going on with ... read more
Long overdue review. I live in castro valley and have been to many different places closer to where I live (CV, San Lorenzo, San Leandro, etc.), but hands down the best is Parkway. The first time I was there I knew this place was different than all the rest. My kitty needed emergency care stat due to an attack by my neighbor's older cat. Vet examined my kitty and recommended that the best course of action was to take him to SAGE surgery hospital near by. Parkway could have done the surgery but the results weren't going to be... read more
Even if Parkway is a bit out of your way, it is worth making a trip to Dublin to see Dr. Wraith. What sets Parkway and Dr. Wraith apart from other vet clinics and vets is their talent, compassion, and honesty. Any person you interact with at Parkway are experienced, knowledgeable, and very warm. Although you might feel compelled to give an arm or a leg for your furry family member, you will see Parkway is not about assigning unnecessary treatments to bilk money out of you. If you love and believe your animal is an integr... read more
As a bunny parent, I take my Dutch rabbit Jack to Dr Tanner who is very experienced and knowledgeable about bunnies. Dr Tanner has provided excellent care to Jack, and helpful advice as Jack surpassed 10 years old. She calls me the next day when Jack is on medication to check on his health. Jack visited Dr Tanner 3x in the 12 years of his life, and we are very grateful to have had her as our vet. Prices are reasonable for the excellent care provided and received. Thank you to Dr Tanner and the Parkway staff.
So I have to say I absolutely LOVE this vet clinic and Dr Wraith is one of if not the most caring, gentle, compassionate, and SMART veterinarians I've ever come across. I Will continue to go here, but I do have to mention that I have noticed they have increased their prices dramatically. I have been using this vet for over nine years. Last week I took both my French bulldogs to get their nails cut and their anal glands expressed. While I was checking out the receptionist told me my total was $118. I asked her what was so exp... read more
I switched from the Banfield near by and boy am i glad i did. My dogs doctor was Dr. Bloomberg and I love her! I could tell she truly cared about my dog and wanted what was best for her. My dog gets worried at the doctor's office and likes to hide near me, so Dr. Bloomberg got her some treats and sat on the floor and did the routine check up. I am so happy i made the switch from Banfield....Pro tip Banfield is run like a business they don't really care about your pet's well being, they just want your $$$$$$.
Without getting into too many details, all I have to say is I felt I ended up spending much more just to confirm our suspicions that it was a common issue given all the symptoms which only needs to be treated with antibiotics. The problem I have is the order in which the tests were given. Logically the most basic tests should have been done first before proceeding to the other 2 more advanced ones. If the basic test had been done first and we wanted to know more after the results are given, then we could have then proceeded ... read more
