Absolutely fearful beyond belief of the dentist. Dr. Tau and the entire staff were sooooooo understanding and patient. I didn't feel belittled about my fear. He really listened to my concerns. I was soo happy and relieved after my consultation that I actually cried when I got in my car. Finally, I felt as if someone really listened to my fears. There were no jugdements about my anxiety. This office is great! The staff will go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Dr. Tau focuses on ensuring your personal understanding of the various dental procedures. He will tell you what you need and will not stop until you fully understand why you need it. His assistants are warm and friendly. I did not have to wait for a long period of time to be seen. Once again I was preparing myself for a procedure that in the past would have been full of pain and most likely unhappy with the dental work but settled for it anyway because it was over. Well guess what - I had caps replaced on teeth and there was no pain. Even the sounds did not scare me. Dr. Tau and his assistant Michele really did a great job. At 31, I finally gathered the strength to go see a dentist after not being to one in 6-7 years. As ashamed as I was, the associates at PCDE and Dr. Tau himself never exhibited any biased behaviors. Instead, I was treated with warmth, compassion, and such delicacy because they knew of my extreme fear of dentists and pain. On Monday, I called because my tooth was in pain and my cheek was swollen. I had never been to Dr. Tau, but had a minor dental emergency and my dentist could not fit me in for a week. I found Dr. Tau listed in my area and called to see if they could fit me in earlier. I called in the late afternoon and they said they could see me in half an hour. I was immensely impressed, having never been their before and being seen the same day! The staff, office, and service was excellent. I felt like I knew everyone there and vice versa. Looks like I have a new dentist now!
I saw Dr. Tau today for 2 fillings...one to repair 1 I must have broken and the other to fill in a root canal that I recently had. I must say Dr. Tau gives the MOST PAIN-FREE needle I've ever had! He did this thing to shake my cheek and before I knew it I think I only remember feeling the numbness not the needle! His assistant Michele was right there the whole way offering me paraffin wax treatment for my hands and even I could have watched TV or a movie! I have never had a better cleaning in my life! The hygienist Roxanne is absolutely AMAZING! She is very gentle and VERY thorough! She made sure I was comfortable and satisfied and I couldn't ask for more!! The office is clean, the staff is courteous and treats you like family! The clinical work is excellent and I will NEVER go anywhere else for my dental care. You can barely tell I have fillings anymore, they blend them so well! GOOD: Very friendly!!Office is very well kept.Up to date equipment etc. They want to make everyone feel comfortable and that put me at ease. BAD:I felt pressure to get expensive preventave procedures and I don't like that.Pricing is more then other dentists I have seen in the past.THAT BEING SAID... I feel that they would do excelent work and maybe its worth paying more to get better service. PLUS, the front desk lady was VERY nice and they answer when you call (not just a recording).
the staff at the pennsylvania center for dental excellence is second to none! their facility is clean, friendly & on schedule. it was a refreshing visit & can't wait to go back for my 6 month check up!
