I bought a groupon for teeth whitening at a really steep discount. Obviously Dr. Tau didn't expect for it to be as big as it was since as a result of the offer, they were booked solid for the next 3.5 months.So. 2.5 stars, or 50%. Here's why. Although they were technically proficient in applying the Zoom! technique, I was less than thrilled with their office manner. Before my first visit, Dr Tau was very caring when he called me on a Sunday to discuss my dental concerns so I was comfortable with going through with my appointment. My experience was not good, Dr Tau knew that money was a major concern and it cost me $200.00 to find out to correct my smile would cost me$18,000.00. For my $200.00 I only got x-rays done...not even a cleaning. In searching for another dentist I found that most consultations are free which was quite upsetting. The hygenists and receptionist were incredibly nice and helpful. The dentist was another story. He basically decided I wasn't worth his time when I chose to not spend money on an at-home whitening kit and really just kept going with a hard sell. After I said no again, he became very dismissive and just said informed me I wouldn't have good results from the whitening treatment I was having done in office. Mixed Review for dental visit on Sept 16, 2010:Rating for dental hygienist/teeth cleaning = 5 (highly satisfied).Rating for dental exam and 'encounter' with DMD = 1 (not satisfied).Overall rating = 3 (5+1/2 = 3/average).

Massaging chairs do not make up for a lack of interpersonal skills. Dr. Tau's STAFF is AWESOME. But Dr. Tau's ability to comfort his patients leaves something to be desired.
