I received my new policy for 2017. It increased $714 from the previous year with no explanation. I have been insured by People;s Trust since I purchased the house in 2013 and Have never filed a claim. Why such a big increase.

People's Trust advises there are multiple factors applied to arrive at the total premium for an HO-3 homeowners insurance policy. Many credits are issued that are a percentage of other factors, so that while a certain factor may increase, it is offset by an increase in other credits issued on the policy. 1. Why did People Trust increased my insurance and never send me a notice of the increase. Until this day, my insurance ends in March 2017 and the Mortgage Company already paid the new premium and People Trust haven't send my new policy. Time to shop around with another company.

Upon investigation of the subject policy and a telephone conversation with Mrs. ****** this date, it has been determined that the insureds were former policyholders prior to the current policy. When the insureds received their 2017 renewal, it appears they compared their policy of years ago to the current renewal.
