The tail sweep replacement was the fix. The B5 tail sweep replacement by Polaris was the perfect replacement for my ailing lack of tail sweeping. My tail sweep on my Kreepy Krauly was not sweeping at all. I noticed that the wear rings were badly worn and the material used in the sweep had gotten stiff. 100% Improvement I have been rebuilding my old Polaris 280, and was disappointed when the old sweep hose wouldn’t sweep from side to side, no matter how much I opened the flow adjuster, so I figured it must be just too old and stiff. Got this with the nice blue wear rings (a little snazzier than the original white wear rings), and now it sweeps perfectly, not too fast and not too slow. If you don’t like the new blue wear rings, you might be able to swap your old white rings for the blue ones, if they aren’t too worn out.
Perfect fit for a Polaris 280 OEM product, perfect fit, don't hesitate to buy. Use small pliers to tighten plastic clamp, don't use too much pressure.
