Best I have ever used. I have used low cost Hayward units and they never have been good at cleaning my pool. My old cleaner could not even climb the steps. This mx6 is great, works the steps and walls and doesn't get caught on the bottom drain.
Mx6 very good little pool cleaner
Zodiac baracuda mx6 The Zodiac Baracuda is far superior to the Hayward pool vac that I have been using for years. The Baracuda will climb walls to the water line unlike my Hayward pool vac. The Baracuda has less parts to wear out, unlike like the pool vac.
Pool Equipment Got here very fast. Also works wonderful. My pool is nice and clean. Goes all the way up the wall to waterline.
Installed today. Installed it today. Replacing a G3. Takes some tweaking to get to run on variable speed 1.5hp pump but climbs walls better than G3 did. Hasn't got stuck in corners yet either. Bummed that hoses don't work with old hoses but I was aware they wouldn't. Will need to get different leaf catcher to fit twist lock hoses. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I just put it in today. Will update after I run it a while.
First ever review I have a 16 x 32 above ground pool it's about five years old. I have been using the pool shark to vacuum my pool but it hangs around my steps. I have to be home when I used it to keep it going. Well I installed this new unit in a fairly dirty pool and 18 hrs later it's spotless. It even comes up the wall 2 ft or better to clean the sides and cleans around steps with no issue. So far so good
Awesome, effortless cleaner! The Zodiac Barracuda cleans my pool with ease! Cleans the sides, stairs, as well as the far depths of my pool with zero issues. What an awesome addition to my pool care tools. Highly recommended.
Fantastic cleaner! Our pool is around 17,000 gals and was in huge need of a thorough cleaning (algae covered every inch). I received the cleaner and made adjustments per instructions. Two days later our pool in crystal clear (I also changed our filters!) so happy with this machine!
The Little Vac That Could We have a vacation home rental business with different shape/size pools at each location and after trying the "best selling" we have decided the Zodiacs out perform everything in their price range including the best selling. The only thing I've found that could be changed is the hose. The hose is well designed except for the flotation which causes the vac problems in remaining flat on the pool surface (bottom) in longer shaped pools.
