So far, this thing is a beast! Hope it continues. The hose has disconnected from the unit a couple of times, we are just hoping this is not a recurring problem.

This is my second Polaris P40 sport. The last one lasted just past the warranty and the rebuild parts were almost the price of a new one. Very disappointing to only get a couple of years out of one of the most expensive options.

Good product but I wish it actually went up to the water line and that it didn't get stuck on the stairs in the pool. It doesn't get stuck every day, but still often enough.

To help it climb the walls better, here are some adjustments you can try: 1) Verify that the wheel RPM's are in the correct range. The target wheel speed is 28-32 RPM. 2) Ensure the hose is floating and the hose floats are positioned properly. 3) Check for debris in the filter canister and clean, if necessary 4) Adjust the Thrust Jet, if necessary. I was very excited about getting this unit as it was a significant upgrade from our old tenural Polaris. Unfortunately it just really isn't cleaning as good as the old unit. The hyped up feature of the rotating front cleaner just doesn't clean as it's advertised . Additionally the ability for it to pull up debris from the bottom of the pool is limited by size while our old unit we'll pick up whole leaves this one has difficulty in pulling them into the basket.
