Profound mistake!
I had an excellent Dr with this practice who was treating me for a little over a year but unfortunately he left. I was redirected to Balar. I won’t even refer to him as a professional as he is undeserving. He didn’t follow any of my current treatments from the prior Dr. and he cancelled an appointment that I had driven over an hour to get too and he didn’t even have the decency to tell me ahead of time. During my second and last time seeing him he was very rude and unwilling to help or listen to my needs. Steer clear, he doe... read more
He will cut you short when you explain your needs and speak over you, he will tell you one thing but document another on his system, staff besides him is rude as all not all but some of them, states he sees a problem one visit then a visit or two later it’s all in your head.
Disinterested, distracted and unimpressive. There are better doctors. Trust me, you deserve better.
I went to see him on April 16th, after my primary had personally called his office after a questionable MRI, & was not “squeezed” in for over 3 weeks. Of course his one and only suggestion was that “surgery is the only option & should be done ASAP” & was promptly scheduled during that visit for April 28th (not even two full weeks later & without me given any time to think about it) The next day you will be BOMBARDED with calls from the surgical coordinator (who was EXTREMELY rude and demanding about needing a current EKG & r... read more
Very pleasant man but I was quite disappointed following a procedure I was unable to get in contact with Dr. Balar. He never returned my call after leaving an urgent message. I won’t go back.
Ok let me start by saying PLEASE PLEASE do NOT let dr.shah ever ever touch you it will be the biggest MISTEAK of yo ur life trust me please ...so i been meaning to write this review for 2 years and could never get myself to do til now and im not doing it for me im doing to save you your life the life this man took from me in april 2018 he did a Laminectomy on my lower back well needless to say only a few days later i developed a bad csf leak and was back in the or to come out and be in icu for quite some time ok so i was dis... read more
With the exception of skill, being trust worthy is at the top of the list. Dr. Shah presents as friendly and engaging however never lose site he's working for the insurance (NJM). When the prescribed care of a patient is dictated by insurance and not medical outcomes based on evidence. Skill means nothing. I say with certainty this clinician will leave a bad taste in your mouth. Bring a court appointed surrogate to every office visit/ audio-video record every word that comes out of his mouth. Then and only then you might hav... read more
Without examining me, he sat crossed the room and said he could not help me. He said the MRI showed no nerve damage. When my wife or I would ask a question, he would say “I’m the Doctor here; I’ve been doing this for years and quoted his credentials. Not just once but every time we had a question. Finally, I asked him directly is there anything he could do, He said “NO”. I asked could he recommend what I should do next, he said “NO”. I came to this doctor for answers and get help. Just "NO"
