You will lose much of the cool things that I'm sure this printer could do First thing, I bought this to use at work, on a Linux box. The device was not to hard to get setup (if you are doing this set the switch to "E" on the back.) It comes without a charger, so that is a loss of stars right there, second, the device uses 6 AAA batteries, while another brother label printer I have access to has 6 AA batteries, really, the larger batteries would make it cheaper to use and not add much extra space.
