Very Good I’ve had the pt-d600 for more than 5 years, made thousands of labels with it and it’s still going strong. I’ve never had a problem with aftermarket tapes, it isn’t difficult to use if you read the manual, and the ability to print your own graphics from a computer is awesome. Yes, it does waste an inch of tape on each label, but the tapes are 5 meters long, and you can get a package of 6 half inch tapes for less than $20. READ THIS ❗ to fix the rainbow/waste issues You can fix the main 2 things people are complaining about. 🔹 The rainbow is caused by a plastic film you're supposed to remove, that thin film may also be why it looks scratched. 🔹 You can change the margin size (I've attached pictures) to stop wasting tape. However, it will always waste a small amount because of the distance between the printing part and the cutter. Overall it's a solid machine that's only worth the price if you are going to use it plugged into a computer.
Intuitive, Versatile, Excellent Quality I've never used a label maker, but this thing was easy to figure out despite all the options, and I was printing labels in no time, like minutes. I recommend reading the reviews that provide helpful tips and do's and don'ts that include how to minimize waste, not using off-label cartridges, and other helpful info. got mac support works great and with my mac - BROTHERS fixed the software.
Great product, except... This is a great product, but it waste almost an inch of label tape at the beginning of every label, unless your printing multiple copies of the same label. But who would do that on this device versus a whole sheet of labels on a laser or ink jet printer. Brother really needs to be innovative and take the lead and fix this design flaw with a very simple design change.
P-Touch It's a thermal printer, BROTHER HAS NO QC,, DISPLAY WINDOW IS UN VIEWABLE, HAS SOME WEIRD SPECTRUM THAT YOU CAN BARELY SEE THROUGH... BROTHER IS NO HELP. Since I use the software, there is no need to look through or at the display, and is the only reason I did not return this POS.
Saves time and increases efficiency This product really helps make the task of labeling items easier. I am very glad that I purchased this. The LCD screen and automatic font resizing are highly beneficial. It is definitely worth reading the manual to learn a few things to get the most out of this. One of the best features I like is that you can specify the length of the desired label and as you type your text it will resize things automatically to fit (if desired). Works well on Mac. Makes nice labels. Made in China. Ready for a landfill. I have a love-hate relationship with brother label printers. Why I hate them. After 3 or 4 years they will stop supporting the Label Maker even though you're Label Maker works perfectly, you will be forced to throw it into a landfill because a new operating system will no longer be supported. My previous P-touch label maker that was about 4 years old, will not work beyond MacOS 10.15. A simple driver could have fixed this. But instead, I have to throw... read more
