Don't fall for the hype! The food is below average at best. The chicken dumplings served to me were burnt and split open on the sides. The chicken shio ramen was extremely weak in taste and presentation. I will give them the benefit of the doubt for the bad food, but first impressions are everything. I do not recommend this place. Do yourself the favor, save your time and money by looking up at-home ramen recipes on TikTok and/or YouTube.
I ordered the beef lo mein and got it with only broccoli, beef and noodles no extra vegetables that they normally would put in there. Well, the quantity was good for the money, but almost every piece of beef that I chewed on had gristle and fat. The sauce tasted more of a soy sauce Than a beef lo mein sauce. I also did not like how the beef was in little pieces throughout. Unfortunately I will not be back to this establishment because there is a much better option out there for a beef lo mein.
Ramen was so bland. Noodles too rubbery. Broth tasted like straight vegetable water. Not a single Asian in the kitchen. Not authentic. 0 culture in the food. No love either. Serves tap water with ice. I Can keep going, but never coming back ever.
I haven't been to this restaurant before, but decided to go and try this restaurant tonight. Well, I plug it into the gps and it doesn't exactly tell you where it is in the old lake court house. I decided to call at 8:11pm to ask where could we enter since I've haven't been here before and couldn't locate the entrance. Amazing atmosphere, subpar ramen. The location of Ramen District is really beautiful, it's one of the restaurants located inside the old courthouse in the heart of Crown Point. Inside has a great atmosphere and is a really nice spot to go on a date if you don't care about having authentic ramen. Yesterday was the first time I've tried this restaurant and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The flavor was just ok but it didn't justify the high end pricing. We did pickup and we always tip for pickup service as well as giving the kitchen the $5 High Five Gratuity that's recommended on their site. Loved this place the first few times we went. Went this evening and were practically the only ones there. Took at least a half an hour to be seen which isn't that bad considering staffing shortages in the food industry. But our waiter was texting behind the dumpsters while we had no drinks, we finally got our food and had no silverware and no one ever came back to give us something to eat our Luke warm ramen with. Nope.. They fail Sadly they get 1* 1) service- the waiter was very un inattentive. It was difficult to get his attention during and before the place was busy. 2) I love ramen if it's on the menu, I order it. This place served it warm(ish) where it was just a bit over room temp. Then they placed a way to hard boiled egg in it. I wish I took a photo for you all to see it. However all places have an off day.
