Keito wins hands down for his excellent service! He was very personable and perceptive to our needs and style without being obtrusive while shopping. He managed to be right there every time we needed to ask a question and explained everything we needed to know. Keito kept us updated on the timeline for delivery and even informed us about a upcoming sale. We ended up buying more items at a great prices! Some items were back ordered but we'll worth the wait. Why is it so hard to find cool, contemporary, quality furniture in Honolulu? The pickins are slim. Only Pacific Home for the high end. No West Elm for the middle. No Ikea for the affordable end. Only over-priced, cheesy, China-made, bachelor pad pieces that will feel outdated in a year from Red Knot & Inspiration; over-sized, heavy pieces for tutu's Kahala House at CS Wo, and over-stuffed man-cave pieces at Home World. Dear Red Knot buyer, are you even following current designers on IG or watching HGTV?
One thing nice about Home World/Red Knot is when you walk in, you're greeted by a sales person who asks questions and tries to help you out. Some customers find it pushy but we had a very nice and knowledgeable salesperson, Susan. She listened to our requests and looked around the store to find the best options for our family. I came in here wanting to see if I could purchase a few items that I saw on-line. Keito greeted me when I was looking at a TV console my husband had wanted. From wanting a TV console and an accent chest, I ended up buying a few more items (both necessary/unnecessary) for our new place. I even bought a decorative resin blow-up balloon dog that I probably don't need. Keito was a blast to work with, and he even knew my style from the beginning. Isaac was super helpful, too!!! I would definitely come back here again!
What made me really happy is that the customer service over the phone was timely, polite and knowledgeable. I was looking for a desk for my little sister (so a smaller desk with drawers) and I've been looking everywhere: which is why I really appreciated that they are able to send text photos of what's available.
3 stars cuz Red Knot doesn't have alot of inventory in stock but I give 5 stars for Barbie who has been the most attentive and helpful furniture salesperson I have met. And I've gone to ALL the stores on the island. She has good taste, opinions and provides great service.
I recently used Red Knot to buy furniture for a new condo on Oahu. My experience was overwhelmingly positive, particularly with the sales associate who helped me (Earl). I stopped in to Red Knot HNL with the intent on getting everything I needed for the new place, particularly large ticket items like a bed, mattress, etc. I ended up choosing everything I needed from their in-stock selection and was able to get delivery scheduled for just 1.5 weeks out. Came in on Memorial Day sale trying to look for the perfect Bed frame & drawer set. KEITO was very helpful and catered to our needs. We were able to find a Corinth set and got a great deal on them. Couldn't be anymore happier! Will definitely come back here again for future purchases.
I'm quite disappointed when I strolled into Red Knot the last two times. The first time I went a while back, there were a couple salespeople and I had really good customer service. However, I had been eyeing out a sleeper sofa and the last two times I've been back have been disappointing. There seems to be a lack on of salespeople around.
