Get directionsThe food is always good here but the service for our Sunday brunch was fantastic; there were 7 of us with one member being a half an hour late but our waiter was just great about it; he was always there when we needed him and never rushed us; and you could tell that he enjoyed his job
Was heading with a friend over to Carnegie Hall for a big event. Paused at the bar here before getting escorted to our table for a quick meal. The casual but alert staff gave excellent service; love the Red Grooms artwork. A good and embematically New York dining experience.
Food was a bit pricey compared to other similar places that I have visited. Being from out of town it seemed that I was paying for the status of being in New York. The quality of the food was good, but I have visited other establishments with better quality for a more reasonable price. Other than the price, the place was pretty good!
We've always loved Redeye, but this time the live music was too loud. Perhaps start it after the dinner crowd. Hard to hear each other. Music was good, just too loud.
Very accommodating & friendly host & waitress. Loved the live music & definitely would recommend & return.
I almost always go for the Lobster Cobb, but the fresh fish-- most notably the brook trout, is terrific! If you want to talk with your dinner partner ask for a table FAR AWAY from the bar and the music. It's impossibly noisy.
The real stand out for us was the guy who served us. Albanian man, I think he said his name was Eso but my memory isn't the best. He was funny, chatty but not too much, and gave us just the right amount of time to consider then eat etc. We are only in the US for a week but will go back.
Delightful! We love this restaurant. The food is innovative--you must try the Brussels sprouts--they are amazing! This was not our first time and we'll be back. .and..back.
We haven't been to Redeye Grill in years but we were in the neighborhood and decided to try it again--and we were not disappointed in anything--except the bread (minor, yes, but bad bread in NYC!). Portions are generous as we remembered so we did not over-order. We would return under the same circumstances.
