It was listed on Open Table as a great place for Christmas brunch. Menu looked great--had our child with us. Got there and they had decided to not serve brunch that day. Food was just alright and very limited menu and my wife got ill mid way through the meal...food presentation was unappealing. Clam chowder was amazing - which is the only reason we didn't rate lower. We loved the Redeye Grill - we had the sushi burger and it was amazing. Our food was ready so quickly and the wine list was great. We will be back!
We were vacationing in NYC and came across this place and had the best experience! The staff could not have given better service and the food was wonderful! Will definitely go back next time in NYC. It is across the street from Carnegie Hall. Highly recommend!
Had a great Christmas Day dinner. Sat in the back so noise level was down vs in main dining room. Server was awesome! Great food and choices! Would highly recommend it!
Loved the food service and entertainment!!! We had the cold seafood platter and they substituted the muscles and oysters for extra shrimp because of food allergies . It was delicious!!! We also had the tuna appetizers and salads .

The staff and surroundings were just what we hoped for a pre-theater dining experience... unfortunately, the food did not quite live up. The chowder was a bit too salty, the bread selection/quantity lacking, and the main course uninspired. As someone who has been visiting Redeye Grill off and on for the past 10 years - I hope this is just a blip in what has always been a reliable eatery conveniently located in midtown!
