Noisy; Our particular waitperson was awful, but others were very helpful when we were able to get their attention. Otherwise, love the place and the food is wonderful.
Ultra-fresh salmon perfectly cooked medium with a teaspoon of wild mushrooms, 4 spears of asparagus and 2 tablespoons of cauliflower purée for $38. Outstanding service and located across 7th Avenue from Carnegie Hall. Try to be seated in the small quiet room to the right of the front door. A comfortable, convenient place for dinner before a concert.
The place is beautifully decorated and spacious. Also, convenient if going to City Center or Carnegie Hall. Open late, too. The night we were there, there was a terrific singer-piano player. Service was excellent, perfect. The food however was just OK. Chinese chopped salad was very good , but the pasta with seafood was just blah. Sauce was too watery and the presentation was very plain. The food was good but a little crowded. The service was very good but probably better suited for parties of 4 or more
We had a group of 10 meet at the Redeye prior to a concert at Carnegie. The Redeye has a grand and lively atmosphere, which felt like it put everyone in a festive mood for the evening. The service was lovely and timely, the meals were delicious, and our group commented on what a perfect choice it ended up being to kick off our night. Thank you!
Loved it always get treated like a million bucks when I am there.
This is always a winner for us... we are regulars when in town, as it is close to our apt.
We always eat at Red Eye Grill when we come to NYC at twice a year. Love your food and atmosphere.
The salmon with wild mushrooms is excellent. Every staff member is welcoming and attentive. I love this place.
