The office staff are efficient and engaging. All of the nurses, PA's etc., that support Dr. Rutherford are tremendous. Dr. Rutherford is extremely competent, knowledgeable and engaging. He listens carefully, takes in all of the important information and is a great surgeon. Two years out, I could not be happier with the knee replacement he performed- he is a master surgeon!
All the staff were pleasant and great at their jobs. Dr. Rutherford was very personable and caring. Surgery went off without a hitch. I’m very grateful for the good care I received.
I went in with pain behind my knee. They took X-rays, then I saw Dr. Rutherford’s PA. She asked questions about what was going on. Then Dr. Rutherford came in. He was very pleasant. We discussed possible solutions. We decided a shot might be the fix. He said if it works just give him a call. If it doesn’t work make another appointment and we can take a different approach. Both Dr Rutherford & his PA were very personable & easy to talk to. They provided a lot of information in a short time, and we're straight-forward in their answers to tough questions (i.e. how painful is knee replacement) but offered solutions.
I had a total knee replacement today and feel SOOOOOOOOOO much better. If you are in need an Orthopedic procedure and are close to Emerge O in Durham at 120 William Penn Plaza, look him and the wonderful employees up there. The experience was as good as it could get for a major surgery with an upcoming rough rehab. I usually do not review anything, but this needed to be shared.
I was able to get an appointment relatively quickly which is uncommon with many physicians. His patience with my possibly excessive questions was greatly appreciated. His explanations were easy to understand.I walked away with total confidence in his abilities.
Good listener and genuinely concerned about my issues.
Dr. Rutherford was awesome. He took his time and explained my options. He answered my questions and was very patient and kind. He is an awesome doctor.
