Dr. Rutherford worked with me for over a year prior to my recent total knee replacement performed on 12/08/25. I had to address a serious fluid retention issue before he would agree to the desired knee surgery. I only mention this to demonstrate his competence and professional guidance to assure the success of the treatment plan. The staff was very helpful and professional
Dr. Rutherford is an excellent surgeon who combines outstanding skill with compassion. He takes time to listen to a patient’s questions and answers them thoughtfully. I recommend him highly to anyone who needs a joint replacement.
Ease of scheduling, office and X-ray staff very professional and doctor visit and scheduling of next steps were efficient and thorough. Highly recommended in our town.
The office staff are efficient and engaging. All of the nurses, PA's etc., that support Dr. Rutherford are tremendous. Dr. Rutherford is extremely competent, knowledgeable and engaging. He listens carefully, takes in all of the important information and is a great surgeon. Two years out, I could not be happier with the knee replacement he performed- he is a master surgeon!
All the staff were pleasant and great at their jobs. Dr. Rutherford was very personable and caring. Surgery went off without a hitch. I’m very grateful for the good care I received.
I went in with pain behind my knee. They took X-rays, then I saw Dr. Rutherford’s PA. She asked questions about what was going on. Then Dr. Rutherford came in. He was very pleasant. We discussed possible solutions. We decided a shot might be the fix. He said if it works just give him a call. If it doesn’t work make another appointment and we can take a different approach. Both Dr Rutherford & his PA were very personable & easy to talk to. They provided a lot of information in a short time, and we're straight-forward in their answers to tough questions (i.e. how painful is knee replacement) but offered solutions.
