I cannot even begin to thank the wonderful staff who work at Rio Vista. I received support and reassurance throughout my stay. The hospital is very clean and I felt comfortable there. Recovery takes work, hard work. My treatment team encouraged me every step of the way. Rio Vista saved my life. Thank you for being there for the community!

See their post of Human Trafficking Awareness as if they'd recognize a survivor if they walked through their doors! Took a picture of a comment for you to see. Rio Vista ignores your story and won't get you other help like cops or something if you're in danger. Forget about believing you they twist the story with something stupid to look like they did a good job and to keep you there as easy money. It already happens! Look at the comment in the picture! Everyone is bipolar or depression and suicide labelled so they can stay ... read more

**Acadia the parent company is KNOWN to keep patients against their will to max out insurance payments. AS REPORTED BY THE NY TIMES. THIS IS PROVEN AS SEVERELY DETRIMENTAL FOR THE PATIENT BY NUMEROUS STUDIES. Expect This: 1. Initial Contact: Staff you first meet are NOT medical professionals, nor do they always treat you as a person. Staff member told my mother that I would "be okay," but looked at me with a grotesque face. I was ridiculed for not being med-compliant, even though I had proof to the contrary. They write any... read more

Honestly, this place has some okay qualities but it seems as they're holding their patients with insurance illegally. My partner and other patients have been having a continuous issue where they cannot leave. They ask to speak with an advocate and either get ignored or "forgotten" about. Within the patients handbook it states that the patient can leave at anytime even against the doctor's recommendation but it seems that it's always something that restricts them. A current investigation is going on with other behavior hospit... read more

DO NOT GO HERE! As everyone else has stated, this place is frightening! They do not follow procedures, violate patient rights, and actively keep you from requesting a discharge just to keep you admitted longer. It really feels like their business model is to imprison you as long as possible to collect insurance money for your stay. Please contact me to discuss your experiences (even if your experiences have been in the past). I am speaking to advocacy groups and a specialized lawyer about seeking action. My wife recently was admitted here for a change in her medication. She was there for two weeks and honestly didn't have a much good to say about it. There are no visitations allowed from family ( which is a violation of the Texas code ) be sure to get a release of information signed or they won't tell you anything. Presently patients are only allowed to make outgoing phone calls for a short time as long as you have a ROI signed you can talk to the nurses to see how your loved one is proceeding. Sometimes it is difficult to... read more

My wife went here for help with her anxiety and panic disorder. They lied to her about her rights, and were very combative and unhelpful. They run fast and loose with Patient rights, treating every voluntary as if they are a involuntary.
