I cannot even begin to thank the wonderful staff who work at Rio Vista. I received support and reassurance throughout my stay. The hospital is very clean and I felt comfortable there. Recovery takes work, hard work. My treatment team encouraged me every step of the way. Rio Vista saved my life. Thank you for being there for the community!

My relative went to Rio Vista recently and it was awful. He was threatened by other patients and the situation was not handled properly. The nurse they saw daily said she would advocate for his release. This was a lie and the medical records show she lied to my relative. The facility was only interested in getting the insurance money by extending the stay. No services provided on weekends. Nurse only sees patients for approximately 5 minutes each day and asks basic questions. Relatives are not kept in the loop by the sta... read more

I went to Rio Vista about 2 years ago when I was 11. THAT PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE. Code Whites ( Fights between patients or patients and staff) and one night I got no sleep because my unit mate did a code green (elopement) while a code white was going on. The psychiatrist for unit one is rude and does not care about you or your problems he will just prescribe meds that will make you gain a lot of weight. The only decent tech there that cared about me during inpatient care was Kayla but they fired her. And if you got into a figh... read more

They put me in a room made me wait any longer additional 30 nobody checked in to see how I was an update the coordinator and Debbie were both extremely rude and escalated their voices when I wa... read more

This place is a nightmare, maybe equal to prison. I cannot believe the state hasn't closed this freak show and the freaks are NOT the patients. They will figure out how to keep you there as long as insurance will pay.

Rio Vista severely misdiagnosed and mistreated myself and other patients who shared similar horror story experiences. It took 2 years to finally get the right help I needed at EPBH. Rio Vista was claiming I was there for absurd reasons that had nothing to do with why I was seeking help. I was completely stable and seeking out-patient treatment, as were many former patients who finally got the right help they needed elsewhere. We were not listened to, family was ignored, and explanations were not provided when asking about me... read more
