The support and attention of the entire staff. Always there when needed to talk. Thank you!
I cannot even begin to thank the wonderful staff who work at Rio Vista. I received support and reassurance throughout my stay. The hospital is very clean and I felt comfortable there. Recovery takes work, hard work. My treatment team encouraged me every step of the way. Rio Vista saved my life. Thank you for being there for the community!
Rio Vista severely misdiagnosed and mistreated myself and other patients who shared similar horror story experiences. It took 2 years to finally get the right help I needed at EPBH. Rio Vista was claiming I was there for absurd reasons that had nothing to do with why I was seeking help. I was completely stable and seeking out-patient treatment, as were many former patients who finally got the right help they needed elsewhere. We were not listened to, family was ignored, and explanations were not provided when asking about me... read more
The unit environment was mentally straining due to indefinite timelines, poor communication, and the need to repeatedly advocate for basic information about my care and discharge. This prolonged uncertainty negatively affected my mental well-being.
They will hold you for days/weeks without explanation or documentation for a need to stay. This facility literally keeps people hostage in order to bill their insurance as much as possible. Please read other reviews as well as multiple news reports about this place!!
Where do I start? The majority of these hospitals, try to use up the insurance of the Patient and are not concerned about the actual mental welfare of the Patient. Therapy is a worksheet and no real therapy takes place. Patients are locked out of their rooms when they are sleep deprived and desperately need sleep. There are reports of the facility playing horror movies, when patients are depressed, suicidal, or experiencing a mental crisis from friends and family members in the community. Never take a family member in the... read more
See their post of Human Trafficking Awareness as if they'd recognize a survivor if they walked through their doors! Took a picture of a comment for you to see. Rio Vista ignores your story and won't get you other help like cops or something if you're in danger. Forget about believing you they twist the story with something stupid to look like they did a good job and to keep you there as easy money. It already happens! Look at the comment in the picture! Everyone is bipolar or depression and suicide labelled so they can stay ... read more
**Acadia the parent company is KNOWN to keep patients against their will to max out insurance payments. AS REPORTED BY THE NY TIMES. THIS IS PROVEN AS SEVERELY DETRIMENTAL FOR THE PATIENT BY NUMEROUS STUDIES. Expect This: 1. Initial Contact: Staff you first meet are NOT medical professionals, nor do they always treat you as a person. Staff member told my mother that I would "be okay," but looked at me with a grotesque face. I was ridiculed for not being med-compliant, even though I had proof to the contrary. They write any... read more
