This place will force patients to take medications, even though the law states that you can refuse medicine. They treat patients badly and do not follow the law with patients' rights. They will hold you in the facility longer than they are legally allowed to. If you are needing any type of mental health care, stay FAR away from this place!!
Rio Vista wasnt all bad,but on the other hand it wasnt all good either.I wanted to leave the day after I got there. Compared to being there,Outpatient Therapy was a breeze.

I went to Rio Vista hoping for an intensive therapeutic approach to recover from PTSD. The fact that they admitted me was irresponsible and unethical... read more
I was hoping for a better place to take my child- he had an outcry at school- and I needed him to be admitted. Newer place, better facilities, get the actual help my autistic son needs. He was inpatient for two weeks, then transferred to out patient. I was notified everyday of his progress and was able to visit him three times a week to see how he was doing. Outpatient however I hear nothing, no progress, no communication- was there a week and CPS was called and is at my house! This is why the one star!! I thought through HE... read more
