Had a great experience thanks to a great wait team. Also, great attention to detail on the part of the host to seat us at a quiet table as requested in my reservation (it helped that we ate early on a Sunday night). Surprised with complimentary tiramisu to help my wife and I celebrate a new job!
Everytime I go here I'm impressed by the welcome coming through the front door, the exceptional service from the wait staff and of course the fabulous food served. The bar is an excellent place for a cocktail before dinner however, it is in intimate contact with the dining room and can get busy very quickly. I see this as part of the overall charm than a drawback.
This spot offers good Italian food in a cozy, romantic setting. Service was satisfactor. Prices are typical of downtown Milwaukee restaurants even though this is located in Wauwatosa. They had half-price bottles of wine on the night we went, which made dinner an even better deal. I would recommend this place to anyone - you can't go wrong with Bartolotta's!!
I wasn't sure if my selection of a filet would be a good choice since it was mostly Italian pasta cuisine, but it was excellent. My dining partners also had filets and all agreed with me. It was a great meal. Thank you.
Their special Lenten menu was unbelievable. If you try nothing else get the Gnocchi alla Crema di Gorgonzola e Noci, it was delicious.
Serving staff were a little less polished than I thought fitting for this place. They were quick and friendly though. Between 3 we shared a cesar salad, a large homemade ravioli which was so delicate and amazing, a small pasta with melanzane that had superb flavor, & salmon that was light, flaky and delicious. AMAZING! Atmosphere is warm and charming, wait staff is knowledgeable & friendly, and the food is outstanding. We shared a plate of mussels as an appetizer & they were done to perfection. Cesar salads were crisp and flavorful, and our pasta dishes were delicious; we HIGHLY recommend the ricotta & spinach raviloi, and the pasta with red sauce & lobster. excellent restaurant for all the right reasons. I'm from Chicago and I go there for both personal and business meetings. Love the atmosphere which can be both mixed for a romantic evening with a loved one and the right noise level for business. Food is excellent and the wine list is not too far behind all served with an attentive yet unobtrusive friendly wait staff. There's nothing I wouldn't recommend off the menu.
Went there for a special birthday dinner. The management and staff made a special occasion turn into a very memorial evening.
