We have been to this location before and always had 4-5 star food service. unfortunately this time only the food rated 4-5 star. We had relatively early reservations ie 6pm. no more than 5 tables occupied yet from the start our wait staff was terrible. we waited constantly for everything from ordering wine, getting the wine, refills and on and on. finally after over 30plus minutes of this nonsense we spoke up. things did improve when the manager/hostess intervene. it did have an effect on our evening and celebration. we will... read more
The food was very good, the wait staff was helpful and attentive, we plan on dining there again.
Everytime we go to Ristorante Bartolotta it is a perfect treat. Anything you select is delicious, service is absolutely friendly and timely. It is the great place.
I hadn't been here in a couple of years and I was happy that the food was still excellent and many old favorites were still on the menu. For something different, you can choose anything from the seasonal four-course tasing menu. The rigatoni with eggplant has the best tomato sauce ever. (I know that creme brulee is somewhat "old hat", but I wish they still had it on the menu!)
Ristorante Bartolotta continues to be my favorite Milwaukee-area restaurant! The menu selection is fantastic and on this most recent visit, the filet was perfection, while the Chef's Menu Spaghetti Carbonara was incredible - rich and creamy without being too heavy. The staff, as always, was attentive without being intrusive and the dining room, while a bit loud - though, not overwhelmingly so - is comfortable and inviting. For steak or seafood, pasta or pork, hands-down, my favorite restaurant!
The seafood grill and Tuscan chicken were a little over salted, but still tasty. Service - Lesley & Todd, and the "Scotch Lady" - was excellent.
This establishment is predictably outstanding in terms of food, service and ambiance. It is my " go to" restaurant for personal dining, entertainment or celebration of something special. I am never disappointed.

I don't have time to write a proper review now, but this restaurant never disappoints. It has become a tradition to have dinner there for my birthday every year, and as usual the food and service were outstanding. Especially nice is that the special tasting menu (which I almost always order) is always a good value as well.
