Robert was very communicative about everything that was going on. He has a great personality and didn’t come off as a pushy salesman in the beginning process. I also like that he allowed me to communicate via text because of the complexity of my daily schedule.

Poor level of communication from all levels. It was hard to get anybody on the phone. I was not told that I would be paying points to get a loan at your advertised rate which basically stole over $6000 dollars away from me at the end point of the deal where I was stuck because no one was honest with me. Keep in mind that my wife and I have around 800 credit scores, excellent debt to equity ratios, and NEVER payed late on a loan much less defualted on one. The process began incredibly smoothly, and I was initially very pleased with the service. However, it is difficult to give a fully positive review, as the experience started well but ended poorly. The issues began on March 18th. I had a call with Robert around 1:36 PM Central Time. During this call, I was told unequivocally that Mutual of Omaha had professionals monitoring interest rates, so I didn’t need to worry about it myself. Rob told me that he would do things and didn't do them. He lied. Rob told me that my loan was in conditional approval status. Then I received a decline letter from underwriting. He lied. I asked to work with another person at Mutual of Omaha. Then I logged in one day and found the purchase price and loan amount changed for no reason. I was told it wasn't a big deal. I was refinancing my home to pull equity out as it was needed to make changes to my home. My wife had become handicapped and I had to add stair chairs and other equipment that she now required. My overall experience with Mutual of Omaha was terrible. The loan officer was making mistakes, unresponsive for days, and dishonest. I called Robert Wicklander as a branch manager to express my dissatisfaction with Mutual of Omahas representative Renu Jutla. Better communication, when our first agent left the company no one contacted me to inform me. It was until I followed up that I was assigned to Robert. The customer should not be following up with emails and calls to be told the agent you had left. My agent needed to follow up with me by phone or email to check and ask if I needed anything. This never happened with Robert. Disappointing

Communication!!!! We tried to reach this man for over a week to find out our closing date. He finally got back to us with a short answer and an excuse for his absence. But in the meantime receives a $500 charge for an extension to lock in our rate. Funny part is we tried to contact other people here as well and could not get any answers. I would never recommend this man or this company for any future business!! Fool me once!!

Mr Wicklander promised me the world when I first spoke with him. He gave me his cell number and guaranteed he was the only local mortgage provider that could handle my re-fi. Now understand all I wanted was a 30 to a 15 with a lower rate. Our credit was 780+, no debt refinance necessary, and was will to bring cash to the closing for escrow. All of which I did. What I will say about Mr. Wicklander’s customer service, is it SUCKS! I only have ? Characters left, or I would blast him more.
