I was in the worst pain in my life, I had sciatica pain so bad in my left leg I couldn’t function. I was in Cedars MDR ER on a Friday in the end of April. Dr Melikian happened to be there, he knew right away how bad it was. He had me in his office that Monday and into surgery in a week. I had herniated 2 discs very badly. I was walking the next day. He is not only a great surgeon, he so personable and transparent. You are treated like family. Can’t say enough great things about him and DISC!!!
After two years and trying Acupuncture, Shiatsu, Physical therapy, Yoga and signing up for a Chiropractic Clinic (3 months), it was time to interview Orthopedic Surgeons. Wonderful reviews and referrals lead me to Dr. Melikian. I have felt informed, confident and cared for from my first appointment. Surgery was one week ago and I am walking and feel GREAT! I traveled to marina del Rey in May 2017 to have my lower back hardware removed. Dr. Melikian removed the hardware successfully and since then I have been able to sleep. He is beyond excellent and his work ethics are top notch. For a doctor of his caliber, He is very humble. His bed- side manners are beyond words. I’m very blessed and fortunate to have done my surgery with Dr. Melikian and I will forever be grateful. You are a Godsend. God bless your hands and thanks you again Dr. Melikian!
The first time I met with Dr. Melikian, I was impressed with his willingness to listen, answer questions and not rush through the appointment. I had been in pain for several months and thought it was due to my Fibromylgia. An MRI revealed severe spinal canal stenosis. I liked the idea of the less invasive procedure Dr. Melikian. recommended. Immediately after surgery my pain was gone and has not returned. My children and I both recommend Dr. Melikian to anyone needing back surgery.
Simply the best! I received a minimally-invasive fusion by Dr. Melikian and his wonderful surgical team and I now have my life back! I had been experiencing so much pain and physical limitation that I had forgotten how good I used to feel. Dr. Melikian always took the time to listen and is an exquisitely skilled surgeon. I would highly recommend him and his team.
