Our mom had dementia issues when she started but the social network and regular healthy meals helped to improve her mental health. Regular exercises also helped. Being able to speak Japanese helped with adjustment. They were very helpful in accommodating our needs.

From my experience, overall I would rate Sakura Gardens a 5 stars. The experience was short - but everyone was very courteous there. The community itself is very clean and everything is easily accessible - it is like their own little condensed world. Based on the experience we have had so far we would absolutely recommend Sakura Gardens to other families.

Sakura Gardens is a special place that is beautiful and peaceful, although it is right near downtown Los Angeles. The koi pond and the Japanese inspired landscaping is nice for the residents to enjoy when they are taking a walk. The tour was great and very informative. Will consider for family in the near future.

Sakura Gardens is a tremendous facility, staffed with excellent caregivers and providing an invaluable service to the Japanese and JA Community in L.A. by allowing residents to feel comfortable and being surrounded by Japanese traditions of food, activities and hospitality. Absolutely exceeds all expectations. Their management team could not have been more cordial or more professional during our initial visit and subsequent visits. All questions were answered. The furnished apartments are very comfortable. Housekeeping and front desk staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Our Mother entered Sakura Gardens 6 months ago and as each month that has gone by, she’s blossomed. She has more and more friends each time we visit her and because she’s living her best life at Sakura Gardens, it’s always a joy for our family members to visit her.
