Medium sized dining area with high ceilings. But it was a very loud environment with a full house. While my steak was cooked to Oder, they forgot a side. I mentioned it to the server who quickly got it for me. Half price bottles of wine on Wednesdays was an unexpected and pleasant surprise.

Food, service and experience was very good. My only negative about the experience was the noise level in the restaurant. I am in the music industry so I used my db meter to measure the noise level. It measured over 90db consistently for the entire time we were dining (2 hours). I booked this meal with clients in mind and while the food and service was top notch I won’t be returning until this is remedied. Having to yell to be heard could easily be remedied with sound abatement and would be a wise spend. Chad Melchert

The food at Saltlik is always excellent and good value. Tonight they were very busy, not one open seat. Service was definitely slow and a bit chaotic. We ordered appetizers and the main course. Initially they brought out the appetizers and two of the main course plates together (there were four of us). We sent those plates back and enjoyed the appetizer and a bottle of wine. An excellent place for an early evening meal. We selected Saltlik over other local eateries as the music level were low. In fact whilst eating the only discernable noise was the chatter of other diners. No obtrusive music. Food was excellent, service was fantastic. A place to recommend in Calgary. Would we visit next time we are in Calgary, most definitely!

We had a really nice evening. The service was outstanding, great cocktails, perfect wine pairing as approved by the sommelier (we went with the Niebbolo). Especially loved the duck fat fries, the wok fried calamari, and the maple butter sauce on the Brussels sprouts. We mopped that sauce up with our meat. Food was excellent. The wait staff was extremely attentive and joked with me as I am a jokester myself. The food came out quickly as well.
