Best calamari I have ever had!! The steak was great and great choice of drinks.
Food was great, but an inexperienced staff
As always, our food at the Saltlik was excellent and well made. I have never had a bad meal at the Saltlik. However, unfortunately our service was poor this time around. We had four different servers taking care of our table, and as a result, none of them seemed to take ownership in making sure we were taken care of. Our drinks and orders were taken straight away, and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Music was Hip and Loud. Took away from the ambiance. Waitress had to repeatedly answer our questions.
Dinner at Saltlik was one of the most anticipated meals of our lives - friends who lived in Calgary RAVED about it so we had to go when we were in town. The food actually exceeded our expectations, but the service was extremely hurried and important details in our reservation request were ignored. July 1 , great location. Food was amazing. A little pricey but I enjoyed my steak. Coconut shrimp /prawns could be bigger for the price charged.
This was our first night in Calgary and after a long flight from London it was lovely to find a restaurant where the food and service were so good. Eating out in Canada seems relatively expensive especially if you have wine with the meal. The prices at Saltlik were about the norm but the quality of the food and the service were the best we experienced on our trip through the Rockies.
