We are regular customers at Saltlik and enjoy it every time we are there. This time was a bit different though. The sommelier was very pushy and actually recommended we should have 4-5 bottles of wine for a table of 7. The servers were great and apologized for the sommelier. The food seemed a bit off, perhaps from the sour taste left in our mouth from our wine experience. Overall, it was fine, but not up to the levels we are used to.
Service was amazing. Staff very attentive and steaks well they have mastered cooking the perfect steak.
Saltlik was lovely inside! We got a gorgeous table (perfect since I had asked for a special spot considering I had a date from out of town with me I wanted to impress) and the service was genuinely friendly, funny, attentive and warm while maintaining all pleasant formalities that gave the air of exclusivity and a higher end dining experience. Overall, the dining experience was "ok". 6 of us dined and we all had steaks. 2 of the 6 steaks had issues... My co-worker ordered a medium rare filet and cut into it and it was "very" rare. I would expect a 'do-over' on a new steak and not bring back 2 chunks of re-heated meat. Bad form IMHO! I ordered a rib-eye and asked for the ($3.00) Saltlik specialty bbq sauce and they forgot it and then just brought a little cup after the fact... so much for caramelizing the bbq sauce.
