Everything was fantastic today and all the staff were super friendly and went above and beyond beyond.
Once again a great experience at Saltlik Calgary. Tremendous service even though we showed up early. Servers really know the menu and the taste of the menu, our server Denny was outstanding. Trevor, the floor manager or guest experience guy as Denny called him, truly attentive. You must try the Brussel sprouts. Our steaks were of good quality but varied in finish based upon further conversation after the meal. Ordered the short-rib and received a well done steak…waitress tried to talk me into the dish being short-rib..though I was born at night, I wasn’t born last night..I know my meats and had to have the manager get involved and he was cordial and brought me a true short rib dish and it was satisfactory.
I'm going to be honest, I am pretty upset. My wife and I went there on our wedding day and I gave really specific notice that she was Celiac, and we had a conversation with our server AND manager on staff about it. The service was literally 5 stars. But they proceeded to give her dishes that had gluten, one being the shrimp tempura and the other being the bernaise sauce she had on her steak. The calamari was to die for. It was perhaps the best I have ever tasted. All three of us ordered the 7 ounce top sirloin. Two of us ordered medium rare and we were quite satisfied with our dinner. The other order was for medium well done. The steak came somewhere between rare and medium rare. I believe this steak was refired but still came out medium rare.
