Saltlik is still v good, but it appears to be resting on its laurels. It was once great and innovative, yet is now seemingly content to go through the motions. One example: The chefs couldn't get a good char on the two medium-rare steaks our party of four ordered. The tuna tartar was delicious but the steaks were dissapointing as they were extremely salty and quite chewy.

We came to Alberta to try Alberta beef and our server told us all their steaks were Alberta beef... perfect! He also made a recommendation on how to get my husband's choice steak done based on the type of steak. I guess the servers really know what they're talking about. We brought our baby and even though there was no highchair they asked us what would be most comfortable for us. Very accommodating! Great food and service. Would recommend it to anyone coming to Calgary
Food was of but very noisy and terrible service. Was waitress' 1st day. No drink refills and my steak came out 20 minutes after my family was finished eating. Many better choice in Bannf
