The service was a little slow, however the food was amazing. Definitely will go back.
It's right across the street from the Marriott. Our petite filet mignons were cooked to our orders, were plenty large enough and tasted fine. My wife had a burger and enjoyed it. The drinks were also good.
Best caesar salad I've had! Husband enjoyed his burger. Brother in law said the mushroom soup was the best he's ever had. Overall, very nice.
Our wait person Sabrina couldn't have made our dining experience more pleasant. She answered questions and made adjustments to our orders when requested.From our drinks to dessert,our food was delicious. A ribeye steak and a petit sirloin were perfectly medium rare. The baked potato complemented the beef. Our salads were lightly dressed. I enjoyed my Negroni before the meal. The apple pie ended the meal well. Saltlik is the perfect place for Alberta beef.
Saltlik is still v good, but it appears to be resting on its laurels. It was once great and innovative, yet is now seemingly content to go through the motions. One example: The chefs couldn't get a good char on the two medium-rare steaks our party of four ordered. Admittedly, it takes a bit of work to achieve both a charred exterior and a nice red interior, but it can be done. Saltlik just no longer seems interested in putting in the extra effort. The tuna tartar was delicious but the steaks were dissapointing as they were extremely salty and quite chewy.

We came to Alberta to try Alberta beef and our server told us all their steaks were Alberta beef... perfect! He also made a recommendation on how to get my husband's choice steak done based on the type of steak. I guess the servers really know what they're talking about. We brought our baby and even though there was no highchair they asked us what would be most comfortable for us. Very accommodating!
