we both ordered the prawn linguini, but my friend is allergic to tomatoes and the kitchen substituted her order with alfredo sauce. Very nice of them! Both dishes were excellent! it would be nice to have a few more choices on the menu. Service was great! Professionally friendly!
Great restaurant and menu! Enjoyed Saturday evening dinner with family who ordered the special which was filet mignon with lobster mashed potatoes which was incredible. I had Kobe beef fettuccine and it was very good and I recommend trying it. Excellent service, and enough room in between tables where you can enjoy conversation with your group. Good wine list that is not over priced.
Great place to eat especially if you like steak. I was delighted to get my steak made exactly as I had ordered it. Our waiter was fun, friendly and very professional. Not only did he seem happy to be there but had a good understanding of how much to check in with us throughout the meal.
We always enjoy the Saltlik! Both locations Calgary & Banff are equally great. Great food and service! Love the squid starter!
Four of us returned to Saltlik for pre-theatre dinner and drinks. Lucky us it was happy hour! We started with the red and house wine and two different scotch whiskies - all were rated very good. For dinner we had hunter chicken, a wonderful dish with 2 pieces of crispy breast, mashed potatoes and a selection of al dente vegetables; an order of spaghetti and meatballs, was deemed delicious; a rare petite filet with vegetable accompaniments; and a flat iron steak salad. I knew after seeing the menu that I would pay for this the next day but every bite was worth every extra minute working out. The filet with peppercorn sauce was perfectly prepared. The lobster mash was everything promised, and the grilled asparagus with a truffle butter sauce a delight. Top that off with a wild berry fruit compote and a chocolate mousse soufflé and it was a gourmand's delight. My server Amanda was charming and professional - it was a pleasure to be her customer. I had the bacon cheddar burger and my companion had the mushroom Gruyere burger. Both were yummy! And the skinny fries.........so good! Our waitress was efficient without intruding. Will definitely return.
Went with a friend, to try their Big Taste Calgary menu. Food was superb! Steak was juicy, flavourful, and the dessert was the best. Excellent service, and the ambience was really nice. Would recommend for a nice dinner out. Good for families too.
Dessert ... Sticky toffee pudding was over the top. Whole meal was great
